    Fun build even decades later

Wasn't even born when this model was made but I found it at brookhurst hobbies and eyeballed it for a while. I was in building rut and wanted to build something new and picked this guy up. What a fun simple build. Really pops when you put effort into building properly and painting.

So glad this kit is back. Saw a Christmas movie this year that reminded of it. Did an immediate search and to my surprise, it was available. What do you get a man who tells his wife he doesn’t want or need anything for Christmas? One of his favorite toys from 50 years ago. Easy to build. Looks and works exactly like the original. Great job Atlantis.

    Snoopy Sopwith

A fun kit that I should have bought when they were first released. Atlantis has done a fine job resisting this classic kit. Some tips might be to have a hobby knife at hand to remote parts from stories and sandpaper to trim some pieces (like inserting the battery box into the front engine piece. Likewise, the inside of the tires need a bit of trimming before being pressed into the wheel assembly. Just take your time and go slow. A lot of fun. I painted mine in correct WWI colors and it came out nice, I'll forward photos to Atlantis for their build pages.

It was a good product and easy to put together except that I can't get the tires on the wheels so I will have to glue them on. Other than that, it was very good.

    Awesome!

This is exactly as I had remembered when I built this as a kid. It was fun to relive those memories. This time, I detailed it and hung it from the ceiling in a dogfight with the Red Baron model that I also purchased from Atlantis. Super cool. Thank you Peter.

Thanks for bringing back theses kits and all the memories from being a kid. Guess I will have to sit down and have a root beer with Snoopy as we get reacquainted .
