The Forgotten Prisoner of Castle-Mare
The Forgotten Prisoner wasn't based on any of the Universal Pictures monsters, but was inspired by Warren Publications. As such it's an easy to build model kit that offers a lot of possibilities for painting. The Prisoner has some company, at least - rats, a spider, a snake, and an assortment of bones.

The Forgotten Prisioner
Here is another model made by Aurora in the 60's. I have a passion for skeleton characters since I was a kid thanks to "Jason and the Argonauts" movie. I saw the model as a child and was not allowed to get it since it was scary for mom. The mold again had minimum flash. From experience early models used to have a lot of flash so the mold here was cleaned. I did not paint some of the glow in the dark parts but added a slight wash to cut the plastic look. It does glow in the dark but probably not as strong compared to a clean piece. This model have a huge potential for kitbashing and enhancement with other materials. You imagination is your pool of invention. Atlantis models brought my "fun factor" from my childhood back to the present. Even models I did not owned or never seen before are now displayed proudly in my house. Keep up the great job.

Forgotten Prisoner
A great reissue of a fantastic old Aurora kit. Perfect addition to my collection. I purchased several and built one with no issues. Bravo Atlantis

The Forgotten Prisoner
This kit has a creepiness level unsurpassed by other Aurora kits. I can see why there were 7 reviews and mine is the 8th. The molds have aged well since '64 and there is little flash and sanding to be done. I used some black metal chain from my local "Hobby Lobby" so that my prisoner is well to the left of the name plate and the feet are flat on the base. I'd like to see more original Aurora instructions with the ads for glue, paint, and 0.10 Aurora catalog. Also the list of kits from Aurora.

Forgotten Prisoner of How Much Fun is This?
I built all the Aurora Monster kits through the 60’s, 70,s and some subsequent re-pops. But it’s been a long time since the dynamic square box glow kits that were such a hoot to get and build up with horrible paint jobs and glow parts keeping me up at night. At least for a few minutes ‘til I’d drop off. If you didn’t grow up in a time before the nonstop digital entertainment age and enjoy things a little off the beaten path, old style monster-wise, these nostalgia beats can’t be missed.

The Forgotten Prisoner
One of the best horror figure kits in the Aurora lineup. Atlantis has doner it well. I am not a fan of the glow parts. But some are. I will paint this to my best ability Possibly add a flickering light LED.

The Forgotten Prisoner of Castelmare
Nicely molded. Good options for glow and non-glow parts. I wish the instructions had been done closer to the original.

Parts
I just completed the assembly of this model. There is one issue with it. The leg chain is too short. On final assembly, the left leg extends out about 1/2 to 5/8 of inch. I had to tie a piece of string to get it hooked to the clamp on the wall. Just a little fyi.

Excellent!
★★★★★ Excellent quality and made in the USA. Can't wait to buy more of these fantastic Aurora reissues. Even the instruction sheet looks good — I'm gonna frame it. Long live Atlantis!
