Phantom of the Opera Glow in the Dark Edition 1/8 Plastic Model Kit

What can I say, this is a fantastic nostalgia build. I haven't seen this one assembled since my brother had it. He painted it himself with q-tips. Love love love this kit. highly recommended!

Model is of excellent quality and I enjoyed seeing if I could build better than I did years ago. It was finished using both airbrush and brush painting. I watched the colorized version of the Lon Chaney movie for some additional research. The cape and vest were an example of artistic license. I look forward to building more of your products.

The original model was in the market in 1963 produced by Aurora. With that in consideration, the detail is great. My model had slight flash but it is obvious Atlantis took the time to clean the molds. The model is like I remember when I was a kid and the glow in the dark were a plus back then and now. I was tempted to build it and leave the glow in the dark parts unpainted as I did as a child but wanted an updated version of my painting skills. Overall, if you had this model or saw it as child, I highly recommend to get them all. In my opinion Atlantis are bringing great memories. If you are looking for fun, look no further.

I owned the original Aurora kit when it first came out. I have purchased 4 of the Atlantis kits and have built and super detailed one for my display. It is a perfect reissue of the original kit and should not dissapoint anyone looking to recapture their youth and to add a beautiful kit to their display. Also keep an eye out for a limited issue of this kit molded in metallic green. I was able to get one for my collection. Great idea.

What fantastic nostalgic trip this model is. Really well molded and great little details. I haven't enjoyed a kit in such a long time as I had this one. You knocked it out of the park on this one Atlantis! I look forward to more releases in this genre!

I always loved the Aurora monster kits and, along with their Prehistoric Scenes line, I had them all. The “human” kits were some of the best though I favored the Creature, Kong and Godzilla. The Phantom kit was a great subject and trying to outdo myself with grisly realistic paint jobs on his prisoner was the highlight of building this one. The poor guy kind of got forgotten and lost behind the legs and cape. This is a solid re-pop of one of my favorite Aurora kits. Highly recommend picking one or two up.

Attention Aurora Fans (and who isn't?) hunt down the original long box Atlantis reissue---Very hard to find now except perhaps at Horror Conventions. Manufactured in the original black colored plastic in every original detail. You could easily interchange original Aurora parts with those from Atlantis. Warning, some of the plastic may be very thick and difficult to remove from the sprues. However, excellent in every way!

Went together very well for a kit from 1963. There was some flash and I cut off the locator tab for the left arm for a much better fit. Primed with flat gray to give color coats something to stick to. I liked the glow parts.

Very nice model, box reflects old school box art. Very nicely done.
