Roosevelt across the Atlantic on his way to the historic Tehran Conference with Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin.

After joining the Pacific Fleet in 1944, Iowa supported major Allied operations by shelling beachheads at Kwajalein and Eniwetok and screening aircraft carriers in the Marshall Islands. Her speed, firepower, and size made her one of the most powerful battleships ever built.

Today, the real U.S.S. Iowa is preserved as a museum ship at the Port of Los Angeles, where visitors can walk her decks and experience a remarkable piece of American naval history.
