PREORDER — Rich Guasco’s “Pure Hell” Dodge Demon Funny Car 1:16 Scale Plastic Model Kit
Bring home a piece of drag racing history with the Atlantis Models Rich Guasco’s “Pure Hell” Funny Car 1:16 scale plastic model kit. This big-scale collectible kit celebrates one of the most memorable names in vintage drag racing and captures the bold look of Guasco’s legendary Pure Hell Dodge Funny Car.
This 1:16 scale funny car model kit will be molded in purple, white, and chrome and includes all-new decals to recreate the unmistakable Pure Hell racing graphics. The box art photo was taken by Ted Pappacena at the 1973 NHRA U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, giving this release a direct connection to the golden age of funny car competition.
The Pure Hell name was already famous before the Dodge Demon funny car, beginning with Rich Guasco’s wild AA/Fuel Altered from the 1960s. In the early 1970s, Guasco brought that same name, attitude, and showmanship into the funny car era with a purple Dodge Demon-bodied AA/FC. The car became a striking part of drag racing history and is remembered for its powerful appearance, Pure Hell graphics, and connection to legendary drivers and events.
Perfect for drag racing fans, vintage funny car collectors, and builders who love large-scale automotive kits, this Atlantis release offers impressive shelf presence, colorful period styling, and a subject with real racing heritage.
Preorder yours today and add Rich Guasco’s Pure Hell Funny Car to your 1:16 scale model kit collection.
Expected release date: July 4, 2026. Artwork and final kit details may be subject to change.
Rich Guasco died in April 2025 at age 88, remembered as a Hall of Fame drag racer and one of Northern California’s most recognizable hot-rodding figures.
